Founding Cohort 2027 · Salt Lake City

Do good better.

Utah has the heart. This is the room where its best leaders put it to work — together.

IHLab brings together leaders from across Utah’s nonprofit, civic, and business sectors to elevate their sights and each other — built by Dignity.Us, The Other Side Leadership Institute, and Utah Advocacy Coalition, three organizations that have spent years doing this work separately, now doing it in one room.

Be in the room where it begins.

The founding conversation for IHLab happens over lunch on November 3. Come hear from the people behind it, meet the leaders who’ll be in the room, and see why this cohort is the one to be part of.

Limited seating

Seating is limited. The first leaders in the room will help shape what this becomes.

Eight sessions at The Other Side Village. People who will come to know your work.

A lot of you got here on grit, mostly on your own. Growing from here usually means a stronger board and a team that knows what’s riding on the work, and that’s hard to build by yourself.

Biweekly sessions at The Other Side Village in Salt Lake City. A focused talk, then table work with facilitators trained by Dignity.Us, and leaders who take the time to understand your organization. Fifty seats. $2,000 if you register by January 15, $2,500 after. Cohort I launches in 2027.

What You Gain

  • A clearer way through hard conversations. You’ll practice the Dignity Index so a tense board meeting, pushback from the community, or a team that isn’t on the same page doesn’t cost you the relationship.
  • Accountability your team can actually sustain. TOSLI leads a session on radical accountability, grounded in lived experience at The Other Side Village.
  • Your budget and your people behind the same goals. Spend money in ways that leave your organization stronger next year.
  • Relationships with leaders who know your work. Fifty leaders, plus facilitators trained by Dignity.Us, who take the time to understand your organization and stay in your corner.
  • A plan you can take home. Start mapping out your next three years with tools you can use right away.
  • Somewhere to go next. After the cohort, you can bring a full partner program into your organization.

Put someone in the room.

Utah’s most committed frontline leaders often have the tightest budgets. A sponsored seat changes that — and sends someone back to their organization with more capacity to serve the people who need it.

Each has its own mission. Together they built something none could offer alone.

IHLab grew from a simple belief — that better systems start with how we see and treat people. Dignity.Us, The Other Side Leadership Institute, and Utah Advocacy Coalition have each spent years putting that belief to work. This is what it looks like when they do it together.

  • Convener & Strategy Hub

    Utah Advocacy CoalitionUAC

Utah Advocacy Coalition connects family-serving organizations across Utah’s care system to build nonpartisan, community-driven solutions that bridge policy, practice, and lived experience. In the cohort, Utah Advocacy Coalition shapes the arc of the eight sessions, brings the curriculum together, and invites guest presenters.

  • Experiential Civic Leadership

    The Other Side Leadership InstituteTOSLI

The Other Side Leadership Institute develops leaders through responsibility, accountability, and relationship, grounded in lived experience at The Other Side Village. In the cohort, The Other Side Leadership Institute leads the session on radical accountability.

  • Communication & Cultural Frameworks

    Dignity.Us

Dignity.Us gives people a practical way to understand what happens in hard conversations, and to choose dignity when disagreement gets difficult. In the cohort, Dignity.Us leads the opening session on dignity, and its facilitators, trained by Dignity.Us, lead the table work.

Each organization sees leadership from a different angle. In the cohort, you’ll get all three — and leave with a clearer sense of how they fit together in your own work.
